What does post-construction cleaning include?
Post-construction cleaning prepares completed areas for handover by addressing fine dust, accessible surfaces and agreed building residue. It does not automatically include rubble removal, repairs or every specialist treatment.
Typical areas to discuss
The agreed scope can cover floors, skirting boards, accessible frames and glazing, kitchens, bathrooms and visible finishes. Send photographs of the residue and identify the materials. Adhesive, paint and cement marks need individual assessment rather than a promise that every mark can be removed.
When to schedule the clean
Confirm which trades have finished and which rooms are ready. Active cutting, sanding or drilling can reintroduce dust into cleaned areas. If the project requires phased handovers, agree the sequence and any return visit separately. Provide the actual deadline, access hours and site contact.
What to price separately

How to check the result
Use the written scope to review the treated areas and record outstanding items. Distinguish dirt from scratches, material damage and unfinished building work. A cleaning handover cannot replace acceptance of the construction work itself.
